There is more than one way to write a fraction, as students will discover with this activity. Using one of the fractions from the included fraction cards, students will be asked to write a fraction 4 different ways. These ways include writing the traditional fraction, writing the fraction in words (one half, two thirds, etc), drawing a picture of the fraction, and using the fraction in a sentence.
The activity has two recording sheets. This allows the teacher to differentiate for the students, depending on the number of activities are needed for understanding.
