TWO versions included: Chalkboard style & ink-friendly style!
Writing goals match the Lucy Calkins' Units of Study checklist for Grade 4: Narrative Writing.
FIFTEEN goals in all: Most goals are written in future tense to give students confidence to explore grade-specific writing elements and take risks. As you progress through Calkins’ lessons and students demonstrate proficiency, clips/clothespins move closer to the OVERALL goal. Each Unit of Study culminates with some sort of writing celebration—therefore, the final chart is labeled “SUCCESS!”, and is offered in 2 versions: as an "I CAN" statement and in past tense to give students additional satisfaction at the point of completion.
Ready to print, or change settings to print multiple pages per sheet for a space-saving option.
