Place one Writing Goals page in each child’s writing folder.
When you are conferencing with a child or when you make a writing goal during writer’s workshop record the child’s goal into one of the squares. This is a GREAT way for child to be reminded of what they are trying to work on to improve.
When the child show that they are consistently using the skill/goal, date the inside of the star and have the child lightly color it in. This will allow the teacher to know when the skill was mastered and the child is rewarded with a star.
