This interactive Powerpoint will allow your students to independently practice writing Kindergarten and Grade 1 high frequency words, starting with the most basic ones such as "the" or "and" and by the end moving on to words such as "does" and "couldn't".
It contains 116 individual high frequency word slides. Students click on the right cursor to listen to the word. They then write down the word, then click on the right cursor again to make the word appear and they can see if they are correct. The first click after listening will show a "writing" icon, just in case they forgot to write before looking at the word. The second click will cause the word to appear. If students make a mistake they can simply click the left cursor key 3 times and try again.
It is very easy to differentiate using this PowerPoint using the "custom shows" feature:
- click on the "slide show" menu.
- click on "new".
- choose the slides you want for a particular student
- name your new "custom show" and click "ok", then "close". You are done.
- to open your custom show click on the "slide show" menu, then "custom show", then the name of the show you want to open.
It can also be used as homework - simply e-mail a copy home.
This PowerPoint works very well in combination with my other 2 sight word products:
