There are so many wonderful literary Graphic Novels out there. There are a lot of "how to draw" books too, but very little on how to teach students how to write a story with "sequential art."
Try out these handouts if your students need a fun new way to write--with comics!
In this part we are putting it all together. All handouts are six panel prompts meant to challenge students to write interesting and unique stories using the graphic story skills they have learned. One of these stories may become the rough draft of the final assessment, found in part 6.
These lessons pair wonderfully with reading any great graphic novel. Contact me at email@example.com if you want some suggestions of graphic novels I enjoy teaching.
Please enjoy these handouts and check out the rest of the unit as well!
