Description
This worksheet, available as a PDF or Digital Worksheet, includes questions on writing, graphing, and solving one-step inequalities. Students need to translate verbal phrases, including one word problem; graph inequalities on the number line; write inequalities given a graph; and solve one-step inequalities involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Problems include positive and negative numbers along with several fractions and decimals. There are no inequalities where students must flip the sign to solve. The final problem asks students to create their own word problem inequality, then set-up, solve, and graph the answer.
I use this worksheet as a quiz, but it would also be appropriate for independent practice, partner practice, or homework. There are a total of twenty questions. Look for the Writing and Graphing Inequalities worksheet in my store (Positively Pre-Algebra Plus) which has key words and graphing tables to help students learn and practice these skills.
All graphing is shown on the number line (as opposed to above or below the number line). There is a full (color) answer key included.
