The instructional document takes students and teacher through a step-by-step process of writing introductions and conclusions. The document contains a graphic to model for students how to process their thinking when writing these types of paragraphs. Questions and text-marking strategies to engage with the document are provided within the document. The documents breaks the process into four steps and offers a model of a complete introduction and a paired, complete conclusion. The pairing strategy is intended to help students understand the relationship between introductions and conclusions in an effort to develop them independently.
