Writing Linear Equations Find Someone Who Activity
This is a "Find Someone Who" activity in which students review writing linear equations. Objectives specifically addressed are as follows:
-Writing a linear equation in slope-intercept form given a graph.
-Writing a linear equation in slope-intercept form given standard form.
-Writing a linear equation in slope-intercept form given a point and slope.
-Writing a linear equation in slope-intercept form given two points.
-Writing a linear equation parallel to a given line, passing through a given point.
-Writing a linear equation perpendicular to a given line, passing through a given point
-Using a table of values to write a line of best fit. (Linear Regression)
-Using a line of best fit to predict a future outcome.
There are 12 questions total (2-sided). The students must get up and trade papers with 12 different people to complete the activity. Afterwards, we go over the answers. The answers are included.
