Topic: Writing a linear equation in Slope-Intercept Form given the slope and a point on the line. The topic is introduced by having students find the equation of a line by graphing a line given the slope and a point on the line that is not the y-intercept. Then students are introduced to the algebraic method of finding the y-intercept when they do not have a graph handy. Problems on the additional practice page include horizontal and vertical lines.
