If you have been to my writing workshop presentation, this unit follows the monthly mini-lessons for February and fits into a year's worth of writing mini-lessons.

The unit has an emphasis on strengthening expository, narrative, opinion, and paragraph writingIn this unit:

General information on writer's workshop and the mini-lesson
8 easy to follow writing mini-lessons (some lessons will need to be repeated on multiple days due to the complexity or the multiple options of the lessons)
A variety of writing paper templates.

Groundhog Fact and Opinion: Opinion Writing
Abraham Lincoln: Informative Writing
George Washington: Expository Writing

This unit is standards based and has been aligned to the CC and Texas Teks for writing.
