Do you have students who write numerals so illegibly that you can't tell a zero from a six or a four from a seven? This packet of practice pages is for targeted intervention of specific numeral formation issues and not intended as a whole class activity or whole class practice. I staple them to papers that I can't read and have the kids practice and fix their poorly formed numerals on the paper they handed in.
This resource can be used is for all grade levels from 2nd grade through high school. Three different sets of the same practice. Set 1 has lines to write on and no cutsie graphics for older kids. Set 2 has boxes to fill in with kid clip art as well as a rate yourself and your progress for grades 2nd through about 4th or 5th, and set 3 set with half pages for paper saving and time saving. Practice with just two numerals to work on, per page. After analyzing students’ penmanship, and which numerals are the most difficult to decipher, students practice making sevens versus ones, sixes versus zeros, etc. depending on need.
Happy handwriting from The Happy Math Interventionist!
