PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This file includes two stations that help with place value and writing numbers. It is aligned to the common core standards for NYS and are used in relation to the fourth grade module 1. The standard it relates to is 4.NBT.1 and 4.NBT.2. This could also be used for enrichment in third grade or for review in fifth grade.

In the first station, called "What Number is It?," students choose a card. Then they use the place value chart to regroup the numbers to the correct places. They eventually should get a number in standard form. In the second station, called "Writing Numbers Different Ways," students also begin by choosing a card. The card will either be written in standard form, expanded form, or word form. They then need to write it in the other two forms. For example, one card may be written in expanded form, so students will write it in standard form and word form.

I laminate these cards and write the answers on the back so they can self-check.
