Writing an opinion is expected to start as early as kindergarten within the Common Core State Standards. This set of writing prompt cards and writing pages are created to enable your kindergarten, first grade, or second grade students to think about their opinions and to write about them. THIS IS THE BLACKLINE VERSION OF MY COLORED SET. You'll find 32 prompts such as:
"In your opinion, what is the silliest game to play? Why?"
"In your opinion, what is better, music or art? Why?"
"In your opinon, what is the hardest part of school? Why?"
"In your opinion, what is the best color? Why?"

You'll also find printable writing pages with sentence starters. There are 6 pages for different levels of writing abilities (K-2). These may assist in differentiating.
