Product Description

This resource asks students to identify the Constant, Multiplier and write the Pattern Rule for an Increasing Pattern.

I used this resource in a Grade 9 Knowledge and Employability course in Alberta which is on par with a grade 6 math level. Could also be great intro review for patterns and equations.

It is a great tool to allow students to become familiar with both identifying what the constant and multiplier is in a pattern and also how to use that knowledge to write a pattern rule.

Scaffold this activity to have students find the total at a specific position number you assign. Can also use the table information to have them show how they would check their answers by inserting position number into the formula.
