PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

We always start our year writing personal narrative, often about what we did over the summer, as I'm sure many of you do. A few years ago we began using the mentor text "Nothing Ever Happens on 90th Street" by Roni Schotter about a young girl with a writing assignment who gets some help from her neighbors.

I have used this book as a guide for my students to write their own personal narratives. We look at all the advice the character, Eva, receives, and then practice using it ourselves before writing,

Please download the preview to view the entire contents of this product. My students definitely benefited from this book and we would refer to it all year when writing.
