7 simple labels to remind students of the different writing stages.
You could have a large drawing of a target with 6 circles (example provided), numbered 1 to 6. Students put their small name tags inside the circle that corresponds to the stage of writing they presently are at. This way, you can quickly see who is doing what. This method also provide the students with a visual goal in mind, getting to the middle of the target (sharing their writing).
