This is the steps in the writing process. I would cut out the circles and put them on anchor chart paper so they were clockwise. I would then draw arrows from one process to the next, showing students how the process is a ongoing cycle. My motto was "When you think you're done, you've just begun, go back and start another one." I would say that phrase anytime one of my students would raise their hand and say those two words..."I'm done." I've included a picture of how I had my students track their progress. After Hanging the Poster students used it as a reference for moving along the writing process. Students would move their clothespin as they go through the writing process. This was a really easy and quick tool for me to see where they were in the writing process. I had 36 students so we needed twice as many plates. You may only need to use one set. Enjoy!
