Description

This is a 5 Lesson (or 5 day) writing project for kiddos in first or second grade at the beginning of a new year. Instead of making "resolutions," students will record their wishes for the new year and end the project with a final published piece.

The file includes several slides for each day (with the exception of the final day) that are intended to be completed interactively. Each set of slides covers one step in the writing process. Display the presentation and complete the pieces together via the computer, interactive white board, or strictly with a dry erase marker on a white board.

It covers all the steps in the writing process for young students: brainstorming, creating a first draft, adding sensory details, revise & edit (includes editing marks for this level), and creating a final published piece.

There are also 5 slides for each step in the process that can be used at any time of the school year. See the preview file.

There is one printable page for each day (front and back) that you can put into a packet to complete throughout the week or use individually day by day.

See my post at www.kindiekins.com for more information. Thanks so much!

*Revised Jan 4, 2015 to use correct terminology for writing process steps: Brainstorm, Draft, Revise, Edit, Publish. #oops

AND it now includes a set of generic (non-subject specific) pages to use for student-generated writing.

Please download the preview file for a closer look.
