Use this chart to manage your students through the writing process. Write their names on a clip, they can manage their clip and writing piece through the process. No more losing papers as you go, no more losing where kiddos are! Just check their clips!
Another great thing is that when two clips land on "waiting for a peer editor," they can pair themselves up! It allows you to be more of a facilitator, and work on conferencing not managing the process.
There is also a "goals" chart. You can use it all or pieces of it. Print it smaller as a bookmark inside students' journal so they can manage their goals themselves (You could even tell them which things to focus on with each writing as they begin: provides differentiation!)
