Writing Prompts. There are a million different ideas out there, so this is my take on it.
The idea is to get the students writing, so why not pose general questions that kids ask all the time back at them? Let them come up with their own answers for why the sky is blue. It doesn't matter, or even should be scientifically correct because it's about motivating the students to want to write and think creatively.
This is a pack of ten prompts that I've created. I'm already working on another pack as we speak, so hopefully you find this one helpful. There is a descriptive for teachers, students, as well as an example to read to students to give them a general idea of what you're looking for.
***UPDATE*** as of 8/25/16: I have added a students direction slip as well as turned each full page into a slip that can be cut and glued/stapled into a writing notebook. I thought it would be helpful to have both full page and notebook options.
Tired of your general, run-of-the-mill writing prompts? Then this pack is definitely for you. Enjoy!
