Start your class off with some engaging, creative and thought-provoking monthly writing prompts! These April writing prompts are a great way to establish a journal routine in your classroom. Each page includes a section for teacher evaluation/comments and each day of the week has a different topic/theme. It is expected that the quality of writing for the different levels will vary, but the prompts are comprehensible for all of the outlined grades.

There are three different ways to create/present the journal. You can either give the students the individual prompts daily, bind the entire booklet or double-side copy and staple the booklet for the month. If you happen to have the capability of transferring PDF documents to Word files, you can also have your students complete the journal electronically.
