Expository Writing ~ This teaching unit will help you teach expository writing. The activities included are great for preparing for a standardized writing test!
Argue Your Point Argumentative Writing ~ In this book, you will find twenty argumentative writing exercises. Each exercise presents an argumentative prompt accompanied by three questions or tasks which will generate critical thinking skills, discussion, and debate. Some of the topics require the students to acknowledge and distinguish a claim from alternate or opposing claims. Some questions require students to choose relevant and sufficient evidence to support a claim, and others require students to develop their own claims with reasons and evidence to support them.
**New! Now also includes Argue Your Point Task Cards. The task cards include the same information as the handouts but in a different format. These cards will be perfect for individual use or to use in literary centers!
Writing Grabbers or Leads ~Use this awesome resource to teach seven different types of grabbers or leads for introductions. The PowerPoint gives step-by-step directions for writing each type and provides samples! There are activity pages that you can print as handouts or that you can use in Google Slides so that students can follow along and practice writing the grabbers that are explained. The following types of grabbers are covered in this resource:

Text Dependent Analysis Writing Packets ~ Each packet provides a passage as a printable and a Google Doc. Multiple choice questions are included as a printable and as a Google Form in each packet.
