The Writing Response Guide is a tool that students can use to help them think about and organize a writing response. This guide provides thinking prompts (questions) to ensure that students organize their writing, formulate a strong claim, find supportive evidence and analyze the evidence. Knowing the elements of a writing response is essential to producing a strong piece of writing.
Help students organize their writing, while prompting them to think deeply about a text in order to construct a strong response with this powerful tool!
*Additional Note: The Writing Response Guide includes a graphic organizer as well as common transition words/phrases to help link ideas.
