This is a two page document that was designed to be used during writing conferencing, small group writing instruction, tutoring, etc. It is a place to keep track of student's strengths and areas for improvement.
It is a formative assessment document, meant to guide instruction, develop small group lessons based on students who have similar goals, and can be shared with both students and parents.
This page also has questions to guide the teacher during writing conferences and discussions. They are written at higher Bloom's level and are designed to allow students to explain and justify their writing.
The strengths and goals are designed around 4th grade writing TEKS, the STAAR Writing Rubric, and the Six Write Traits.
