The Writing Process includes a great plan! Teaching that plan just got more fun with a Hamburger Planner Graphic Organizer Classroom Transformation! This Hamburger Writing Transformation, or Hamburger Heaven, allows students to learn about how the graphic organizer works with each type of writing - narrative, information / expository, and opinion / persuasive writing! Students will build their own hamburger graphic organizer by being served the pieces by fellow student "waiters and waitresses" in a room transformation that includes tablecloths, baskets, and more that you can find at the Dollar Tree! Everyone participates so everyone learns! Then, students spend the rest of the week learning key words and planning for each types of writing!
