Use the fun slide, What Good Writers Do, on a class anchor chart.
Have students brainstorming ideas about what a good writer does during writing time.Collect their thoughts on the anchor chart to post in the classroom.
This is a way to brainstorm with your whole class about what your expectations are for a GOOD writer.
Use one of the slides as the center of your anchor chart paper and list your ideas and their generated ideas.
These ideas should reflect expectations about what good writers will be doing in your classroom.
There are also 5 choices for page toppers for students to use in their journal. Give them 1 topper and have them glue it down at the front of their writing journal. After you have completed the class anchor chart the students can copy down the expectations into their very own journal.
