This rubric adds to the Writing Workshop Start a Personal Narrative Rubric
. It reminds students how to start a personal narrative. It outlines all the steps needed to write a detailed beginning by adding the five "W' words: when, where, who, why, and what. Students are also expected to have a beginning, middle and end with five or more sentences. It also reminds students to check for end punctuation, uppercase letters at the beginning of sentences, and do they have a seed or watermelon story. It is a great checklist for students.
