Product Description
"I'm looking to create a more structured writing time for my third graders this year. This was just what I needed. Thanks!" -- Hope Wilbanks (TpT Seller)

This pack is part of my Writing Workshop Bundle: A Brand New Year! It is complete all by itself, but you will save money and time by purchasing the entire bundle.

The old adage “slow down before you can hurry up” applies perfectly to a well structured writing workshop. This pack is designed to help you get writing workshop up and running in your classroom. By taking time to review each of these skills, your students will be ready move quickly when you get into the meat of the workshop. It was created to help set up a one hour writing workshop which is broken down into a 15 minute focus lesson (included), 35 minutes of student writing time, and 10 minutes of share time. My Writing Workshop Management for 21st Century Skills explains this set up completely.

The suggested day to day plans will help you with the focus lessons. Each one includes a description of a possible lesson and a poster to hang in your room. There are two versions for the posters available in this pack. The posters with the writing tips have a short description of a routine ready-made for you to hang after the lesson. There are also blank posters available for you to establish routines with your students and write those procedures on the poster to hang them up after each lesson. A third option is to hang the blank posters up before the school year begins and slowly replace them lesson by lesson with the completed posters as you review the skills with students. Depending on your students, some lessons may take more than 15 minutes and may need to be broken down into multiple days. There are so many possibilities to make this pack work for you.

I hope you enjoy this pack! Please don’t forget to rate it to earn credits for future TpT purchases.
