Product Description
This resource is made for teachers who are implementing a writing workshop format in the classroom. This is based off of Lucy Calkins’ work. The power of writing workshop, in my opinion, lies in the choice children have to write about anything they want. This does not mean they don’t still learn new types of writing to fit the standards, but they have choice and the ability to be creative. Many people don’t believe their students will voluntarily write without having a prompt, but with a few mini-lessons on creating a list of ideas, your students will surprise you! Their imaginations are e-n-d-l-e-s-s.
In this product you will find resources for yourself, as the teacher, to help yourself implement the writing workshop model in the classroom. It includes outlines, schedules, mini-lesson formats and ideas, and anchor charts. I hope you enjoy this resource and it helps your students become the best writers ever!

Happy teaching,
Natalie Cox
