Product Description
Included in this bundle is an exemplar brainstorming session, outline, and full close reading paper for The Catcher in the Rye. I used it with my students so that they could understand the close-reading process. Moving from level 0 (summary) to level 1 (analysis) to level 2 (significance) was very hard for students until we did it together and looked at a lot of examples. I created these exemplars, and also templates for them to fill in to make the close reading/literature analysis paper a little easier. You could use this with any type of close reading/literary analysis paper. Perfect for upper level English classes or Pre-AP literature.
