Product Description

This product includes 8 different Google forms. Each form contains a writing prompt about integers. I personally use these forms throughout my 7th-grade integer operations unit. Writing about math is a great way to solidify your students understanding of integers.

Here is the list of writing prompts:

#1) What is an integer? Provide three examples of integers. What number would not be considered an integer? Why?

#2) When will the sum of two integers be positive? Negative? Or zero? Provide an example of each case in your answer.

3) When multiplying and dividing integers, how do you determine the sign? Provide two examples in your answer.

4) Which number is greater -5 or -7? Why

5) How can you use properties to simplify your calculations with integers?

6) In what real-life situations would you need to compute with integers?

7) What is absolute value? Provide an example of it.

8) Using the order of operations, explain how you would find the value of the expression above. Use the following terms in your answer. (difference, sum, product, quotient)

Enjoy!
