Students will practice writing equations of lines in slope-intercept form given the slope and a point, or given two points in this self-checking partner activity. Students pair up to complete the partner activity, and even though each partner is given different information, both partners should get the same equation for each problem. After students write the equations, they graph them together, giving them a chance to practice graphing lines in slope-intercept form. On the graph, they are required to show each partner’s given points, the y-intercept, and the slope of the line.
There are also notes provided for both skills.
