Sentence Construction Activity Sheets
This set includes twelve sentence building activities plus one notebook page. Students use the eight parts of speech to build sentences with practice activities that range from filling in blanks in sentences to writing their own examples. Fun activities include a drawing activity, picture prompts, and a "refrigerator magnets" activity.
Each activity is presented on one workbook page that is ready to use on its own. The first two are about nouns and verbs, and others include more parts of speech. Several of the worksheets include all eight parts of speech. Three of the worksheets have a seasonal theme, one each for autumn, winter, and spring.
Sentence Renovation Activity Sheets
This set includes twelve activities for revising sentences by using modifiers, vivid vocabulary, phrases, and clauses. The activities include expanding, revising, and writing sentences and paragraphs by adding or replacing specific parts of speech, prepositional phrases, independent clauses, dependent clauses, and figurative language. Fun activities include a picture prompt activity, a "refrigerator magnet" activity, and quiz game questions.
Three of the worksheets have a seasonal theme - one each for autumn, winter, and spring/summer. A student notebook page is also included.

Revising and Expanding Sentences PowerPoint
This presentation provides explanations, examples, and practice revising and expanding sentences by adding various parts of speech, replacing various parts of speech, and combining sentences using words, phrases, and clauses.
The content includes adding and replacing adjectives and adverbs, replacing common verbs and nouns with more interesting ones, replacing nouns with pronouns and replacing pronouns with nouns, using prepositions and prepositional phrases, combining two independent clauses, combining an independent clause with a dependent clause, and imbedding sentences using words and phrases.
Student practice is included within the slides, and in addition, there is a review activity at the end that can be printed out for students' notebooks.
