This is a short writing piece to be used on January 2. It can also be used any day you need a quick writing piece!
On January 2, 1863, the French Academy of Sciences announced a new planet named Vulcan orbited close to the Sun. This worksheet contains a brief paragraph about the reported discovery. It also discusses how scientists latter changed their minds about Vulcan after finding additional evidence. Students are then invited to write a paragraph about a time they changed the their mind after learning more information about something.
