This Life Science writing assignment uses the Gathering, Reasoning, Communicating framework and is directly tied to NGSS expectations (MS-LS1-8). Students conduct a simulation relating to stimulus response and reaction times and are then asked to respond to a writing prompt. The activity may be used in regular instruction or paired with the writing prompt as a form of assessment.
