Common Core Standards:
SC.2.P.13.1 Investigate the effect of applying various pushes and pulls on differ-ent objects.

SC.2.P.13.4 Demonstrate that the greater the force (push or pull) applied to an object, the greater the change in motion of the object.

LA.2.W.1.2 Write informative/explanatory texts in which they introduce a topic, use facts and definitions to develop points, and provide a concluding statement or section.

Objective/Learning Target: The student will write an informational text that ex-plains and elaborates on the forces of push and pull in juggling.

Essential Question: What are the push and pull forces you see in juggling?

Materials: Make sure you have these materials ready
1. Make one copy of the sample writing responses to display or make one copy for each student.
2. Writing material (paper and pencil)

Time Required: thirty minutes
