Product Description
Historians have debated whether or not the Declaration of Independence was plagiarized. It is well known that a lot of ideas Thomas Jefferson used in it were not his own. James Madison apologized for its plagiarism by saying that "The object was to assert, not to discover truths." This activity will have students analyze and respond to these allegations. I use this as a classroom debate as well. Hope you enjoy.
