PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Everything you need to implement an independent reader's response notebook for 3rd-5th grade! Included are directions and pictures on how to set up your notebooks at the beginning of the school year, 48 reading response prompts (enough for one each week and a few left over!), and poster-like instruction sheets on different response styles.
The 48 response prompts include 28 fiction response cards, 12 non-fiction response cards, and 8 student choice response cards.
The poster instructions, which can be placed in the back of student's notebooks for reference, include examples and instructions on word clouds, diamante poems, four square organizers, venn diagrams, story maps, starburst organizers, KWL charts, and SomebodyWantedButSoThen summarizing.

This is the perfect tool for keeping track of your students' independent reading, and differentiating their responses or assessments.

These colorful and fun prompt cards can be printed as is, or in grayscale to save on printing. Teachers of older students may also wish to print 2 pages to a page to decrease the font size and increase response room.
