Product Description
Students will never forget what tone is after this lesson! This great lesson teaches students how to identify and analyze tone in literature by getting them to write using their own tone.

When I teach this lesson, I use colored glasses (red, green, blue, and yellow) to help students write according to a particular mood. When students have on the red glasses, they must write as if they're angry; with the yellow, they must be happy; etc.

It students to visualize the emotion beyond a writers' words by forcing them to do this themselves.

The lesson includes the writing activity, as well as a follow-up analysis worksheet which would work with any novel, short story, or work you're reading in class.
