This is the written version I use with my students after telling them the story of Kyle el pez. The story focuses on transportation vocabulary, and in the written version there is a grammar focus on the preterite and imperfect.
I have students read to a partner out loud. They switch on and off with each paragraph and work together to answer the questions in their best Spanish.
The T/F portion at the end requires them to explain their answers in their best Spanish, so the instructor gets more valid feedback about what they can understand and produce.
Look for the TPRS story titled Kyle el pez which I also have posted.
