This resource is a fully differentiated lesson aimed at teaching Physics: Waves. This lesson is designed to teach students about x-rays and how CT scans are performed.

This lesson has 5 learning objectives that are structured in the IDEAL format:

*Identify the steps involved in taking an x-ray image.

*Describe how a CT scan works.

*Explain the precautions to minimise the dangers in x-rays and CT scans.

*Apply your knowledge to explain the use of CCD’s in X-rays.

*Link your understanding of CT scans to determine the location of a tumour like a radiographer.

This lesson is designed with a challenge objective and challenge questions throughout to stretch your most able students, whilst supporting your LA students.
