Independent and/or Group Coloured Notation Piece
This is a Russian Folk Song about a teddy bear and a doll that you can use to read rhythm notation as well as coloured notatoin on chime bells, boomwhackers, bells, xylophone and more.
-Develop international mindedness by exposing children to international folk songs. If you have any Russian kids in your class, you can get them to sing the Russian lyrics.
-Develop rhythm reading notation (clapping, drums, percussion instruments)
-Develop independent study of a piece. Let kids learn one line at a time, then come together as a group to attempt the song in echo style.
-I left the third row blank so you or the kids can fill another part - bass notes, or chord accompaniment, singing syllables. Up to you.
