A simple way to practice syntax when using the pronoun y and lui/leur Each page has 2 game boards on it, one to hide your "ships" (I have my students choose 5 separate squares as their ships) and one to keep track of your hits and misses. The students take turns asking about a spot on the board by using the name on the left with the sentence at the top. The practice comes in the response, which the students complete by replacing the prepositional phrase with a pronoun. There is a mix of passé composé, single verb construction, and two verb construction to practice all of the different syntaxes. Student also will have to practice with negation.
