I know that there are other, somewhat similar versions out there, but mine is different! I've made it a printable on 8 1/2 x 11 sized paper, two to a page for gluing into Interactive Notebooks, frequent referral, and sing-along purposes.
There is one lyric that bothers me mathematically, so it's worth a discussion when using the song with your students. I just couldn't figure out a way to make it work: "The greater m is, the steeper the line" really should read, "The greater the absolute value of m is, the steeper the line." Maybe that line is worth having the students investigate in an inquiry-based discovery lesson: Is it always true, sometimes true, or never true?
