What’s the best way to make sure that your students are learning the key causes of the Civil War? Have them teach each other of course! This awesome PBL project turns your students into the teachers and lets them create their own lessons! Students collaborate in small groups to research and distill the most vital information about the key causes of the Civil War, like the Kansas-Nebraska Act and the Dred Scott Decision. They then design a lesson to teach the class about their cause, and receive feedback at the end of their stint as teacher. This is a great lesson that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and many other great skills that don’t get covered by content alone!
This product includes directions and all the student hand-outs you'll need. This product also works great for other content areas or units as well!
