This song is meant to follow the lesson(s) on the preterite tense. After students are familiar with all of the forms of the preterite, this song is a great way to practice!!

The worksheet includes:
One side has blanks out to the left; students will read each line and write the preterite verbs they see for each line. There are between one and four preterite verbs for most of the lines of the lyrics. This is why some of the blanks have slashes, when there are more than two verbs.
One the other side, students will choose verbs to fill in the chart. Many of the verbs repeat, so I encourage them to use a variety! Then, they will flip the verb back into infinitive form, put the pronoun (yo for most of them), and then write it back in the present tense so they do not forgot those conjugations!
