This short story reviews 24 French irregular verbs and 11 French verb tenses/moods. The story is set up so that students are told which verb fits in the blank but they must use context clues to determine which verb tense/mood fits best. The target audience is high school French students (later intermediate/advanced learners).
What makes this product unique is that there are 30 characters in this story, designated by letters of the alphabet from A to DD. The teacher can change each letter to represent a student in his/her class. This is an ideal activity to end the year and to review for a final exam.
Since the story within the zip file is a Word document (.doc), the teacher simply has to replace the bolded alphabet letters with student names. If the number of characters does not match the number of students in the class, there are places in the story where characters are grouped together in dialogue thereby providing opportunities for eliminating some of them without compromising the storyline.
The verb tenses and moods reviewed through the story are:
The irregular verbs reviewed are: être, avoir, faire, aller, prendre, mettre, venir, vouloir, pouvoir, devoir, voir, partir, sortir, mentir, dormir, lire, dire, écrire, rire, boire, croire, ouvrir, suivre, savoir.
