Counting books are a great way for children to practice one to one correspondence and number recognition. When using these books children will be able to count the number of objects on each pages as well as identify the number in the sentence. There are two different variations of the book included. One is for children to simply count and recognize the number, the second is for children to count and then fill in the blank with the correct number. Given the size of the space on the fill-in books, children could also write the number word, too! To make this harder, take the pages out of order before making your copies.
Print the pages you would like to use with your class. Mix up the pages if wanted, copy front to back, stack in order, staple and cut in half.
Remember you can make this as simple or challenging as you need for your class with the two different versions included!
