Curriculum planning is stressful. I hope you find this curriculum map useful and it helps alleviate some of your stress in one way or another!
I assembled all of this in a binder so it is easy to access and refer back to all year long. I have included active links to the resources I am referring to in case you are interested. I have created novel studies for most of the novels I currently teach in my classroom, but there are 3 that are coming soon and I will update those links when they become available! You will see some months have an either/or option for novels. Choose the book that works best with your class, or if you loop, you can alternate each year! (I do not loop, but I do like to mix up the books I’m teaching and rotate them every other year!)
I have also included a more detailed monthly lay out of the mini lessons I teach each month for reading, language, and writing. And my favorite part, an ever-growing list of read alouds with teaching points! :)
