Most speech therapy homework calendars require children to have expressive language abilities to participate in recommended activities, but this daily calendar is designed to provide suggestions of activities to do at home with young or lower functioning children who may be non-verbal.
With the exception of the summer months, this calendar has been designed to loosely follow the Kindergarten Curriculum of my school district. I have tried to incorporate a variety of engaging hands on activities that will increase attention, language, fine motor abilities, play skills, and social skills.
As a Speech Language Pathologist, I have many lower functioning and/or non-verbal students on my case load. Their parents often ask for ideas to do with them at home, but when I couldn't find a list of activities to give caregivers that was developmentally appropriate for their child... I created this!
To use this calendar simply print off the calendar and activity pages at the beginning of each month and give to caregivers.
